Be yourself
- Do use recent photos that clearly show you.
- Do keep your name, age and details honest.
- Do get verified with a quick selfie if you can. It helps others trust you.
- Don’t pretend to be someone else, or use photos of celebrities, friends, or images from the internet.
- Don’t make more than one account.
Adults only
Orbit is for people aged 18 and over. We check date of birth at sign-up and remove any account that belongs to someone under 18. If you think someone is under 18, please report them.
Respect and consent
- Do take “no”, or no reply, as an answer.
- Do ask before moving things on, whether that is switching apps, meeting up, or anything physical.
- Do let people go at their own pace. Changing your mind is always allowed, for anyone.
- Don’t keep messaging someone who has stopped replying or said they are not interested.
No harassment, hate or threats
We do not allow bullying, insults, stalking, threats of any kind, or content that attacks people for their religion, caste, race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability or body. Never encourage self-harm. If someone tells you they are thinking of hurting themselves, please encourage them to reach out to someone they trust or a local helpline.
No sexual content or solicitation
- No nudity or sexually explicit photos, on your profile or in chat.
- No unwanted sexual messages.
- No offering, selling or asking for sex or sexual services.
No scams or money requests
- Never ask anyone for money, gifts, loans, or help with payments, however good the reason sounds.
- No crypto, trading or investment pitches, no “business opportunities”, no selling or advertising.
- No links to suspicious sites, and no spam.
If someone asks you for money, it is almost certainly a scam. Do not send it, and report them.
Keep contact details off your profile
Don’t put phone numbers, emails, social media handles or other contact details on your profile. Get to know people in Orbit first, and share contact details in chat only when you are comfortable. Never share someone else’s private information.
Meet safely
- Meet somewhere public and busy for the first few times. Plans make this easy: post an activity, a day and a general area, and agree the exact place in chat.
- Tell a friend where you are going, who you are meeting, and when you expect to be back.
- Get yourself there and back. Keep your phone charged.
- Trust your instincts. It is always fine to leave.
- Verified badges and vouches are good signs, but they are not guarantees. Stay alert.
Report and block
You can report or block anyone from their profile or your chat with them. They are not told who reported them. Blocking means you will not see each other again on Orbit.
Please report anything that breaks these guidelines, even if you are not sure. We review reports within 24 hours.
When rules are broken
We combine automatic checks with human review:
- Automatic checks look at photos, profile text and messages for things like threats, scams, sharing contact details, sexual solicitation, signs of self-harm, and signs someone is under 18.
- Clear cases can lead to automatic suspension. Everything else goes to a human moderator.
Depending on how serious it is, we may:
- give a warning;
- remove a photo, text or other content;
- suspend the account;
- permanently ban the person from Orbit.
Serious harm, such as threats, sexual content involving minors, or scams, leads to a permanent ban, and we may report it to the authorities.
Appeals
If you think we made a mistake, tell us. While an account is suspended you cannot sign in, so email support@orbit.deelo.in (the suspension screen in the app has a button for this). Tell us the email or phone number you sign in with and what happened, and a person will review your case. If content was removed but you can still sign in, use Settings → Help and support → Contact support. See Support for more.
